Cnect Wales is an industry-led employers’ forum which delivers extensive support to over 200 employers who collectively generate more than £200m a year for the Welsh economy.
These companies account for a large proportion of Wales’ Financial and Business Service sectors and include many high-profile organisations, such as Legal & General, Admiral, British Gas, Tesco and the AA. These are just a few of the leading enterprises that know the benefits of Forum membership – and are strong advocates of the Forum as a result.
In addition to the financial and business service sectors, Forum members are also drawn from the legal services, ICT, retail, utilities and creative sectors, as well as the public sector.
The contact centre business function covers a broad spectrum of Welsh life and, in representing the interests of member companies, the Forum works with many different departments of the Assembly Government. This includes inward investment, learning and skills, employment, community development, social inclusion, infrastructure, telecommunications, planning and the environment.
Employment opportunities range from entry level skills, suitable for those otherwise at risk of exclusion, right up to graduate posts and senior management roles. The Forum has played a key role in facilitating recruitment and training at all levels. This includes schemes to help the long-term unemployed or disadvantaged groups to access jobs and training and relationships brokered between businesses and universities.
